Dr. Renata Giannini is an expert on the women peace and security agenda. She consults with think tanks and different international organizations including UN Women and the World Bank on issues ranging from gender based political violence to the gendered impact of infrastructure projects, among others. In Brazil, she is a member of the working group tasked with the responsibility of renewing Brazil’s National Action Plan (NAP) and consults with the government on the implementation of UN Security Council Res.1325. Her key areas of interest include gendered impacts of climate change, civic space and democracy backsliding; citizen security, violence against women and girls and the women, peace and security agenda.
