Leigh has worked with the United Nations and NGOs on issues of gender, human rights and development. In addition to gender, peace and security, her work has focused on the human rights of vulnerable populations and women’s economic empowerment. She has worked in Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean and the Middle East and North Africa. She has technical expertise in policy analysis, research, writing and advocacy, as well as advanced programme management skills. She holds two Master’s degrees in Social Sciences and Comparative and Cross-Cultural Research Methods.
